Tipalti's AP automation platform delivers its full value only when invoices, payments and bookings flow seamlessly into the customer's system of record. In Europe that system of record is highly fragmented: customers in the Netherlands run e.g. on Exact Online, customers in the DACH region rely on DATEV, and mid-market and enterprise buyers expect deep connectivity to systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other regional enterprise ERPs. Without these integrations Tipalti customers face manual rework and broken processes, which directly impacts sales conversion and retention.
After evaluating the alternatives, Tipalti concluded that building and maintaining an in-house European integration layer would not yield a viable business case. The engineering cost, the deep local product knowledge required for systems like DATEV and the ongoing maintenance effort across dozens of platforms made it the wrong place to invest scarce internal resources.
By integrating with Maesn's Unified API, Tipalti unlocks immediate access to the ERP and accounting systems its European customers depend on. The rollout starts in the Netherlands with Exact Online, the most widely used accounting system in the local mid-market, and is now expanding into DACH - first with DATEV and continuing with the popular enterprise ERPs in the German-speaking region. With Maesn handling authentication, system-specific data models, local compliance requirements and ongoing maintenance, Tipalti's product and engineering teams stay focused on what is core to Tipalti, while commercial teams enter new markets faster and with a stronger value proposition.
With Maesn, Tipalti can:
- Synchronise suppliers, bills, chart of accounts and tax rates across European accounting and ERP systems through a single API.
- Post bookings and documents directly into systems like DATEV Rechnungswesen in line with local accounting standards and GoBD requirements.
- Launch new country markets and new integrations in a fraction of the time required for in-house builds.
- Avoid the cost and complexity of recruiting, training and retaining engineers for each European accounting system.
- Offer customers in DACH, Benelux and beyond a fully integrated, compliant AP workflow from day one.
We are European.
Built and hosted in Germany to meet the highest security and compliance standards, Maesn processes API calls in real time without storing customer data and is fully ISO 27001 & GDPR compliant.
